16 Biblical Prophecies of Israel and the return of Christ

From the 6-part series, "Israel: Past, Present and Future" by Derek Prince

The History of no other nation compares with this:

  1. Their enslavement in Egypt was predicted to Abraham. (Genesis 15:13)
  2. Their deliverance with wealth out of their enslavement, predicted to Abraham. (Genesis 15:14)
  3. They would take possession of the land of Canaan was predicted to Abraham. (Genesis 15:18–20)
  4. Moses and others predicted that they would turn to idolatry, they did. (Deuteronomy 32:15–21)
  5. God would establish a center of worship in the city of Jerusalem, which He did. (Deut. 12:5–6; )
  6. The captivity of the northern kingdom into Assyria.. (Amos 5:27; 6:14; 7:17)
  7. The captivity of the southern kingdom into Babylon.. (Jeremiah 16:13; 21:10)
  8. The destruction of the first temple was clearly predicted.  (2 Chronicles 7:19–20)
  9. The return of a remnant from Babylon was predicted and fulfilled. (Isaiah 6:11–13; 48:20)
  10. The destruction of the second temple, Herod’s temple.  (Matthew 24:2; Luke 19:43–44)
  11. They would be scattered among all nations was predicted and fulfilled.    (Leviticus 26:33–34; Ezekiel 12:15.) It is estimated in Israel the Jews have returned to this nation from approximately one hundred other nations.
  12. It was predicted that during their dispersion they would be persecuted and oppressed.
  13. Their regathering from all nations was clearly predicted and is being fulfilled. (Isaiah 1:11–12; Zechariah 10:9–10.)

You are witness of the fulfillment of Biblical Prophecy.  It is happening before our eyes, it is recorded in the newspapers and on the television.

There are 3 remaining prophecies:

  1. It’s predicted that all nations will be gathered together against Jerusalem. (Zechariah 12:2–3; 14:1–2)
  2. It’s also predicted that there will be a supernatural revelation of Jesus as Messiah to the people of Israel collectively. (Zechariah 12:10–14)
  3. Finally, number 16, it’s predicted that the Messiah will return to the Mount of Olives in power and glory to establish His kingdom on earth. (Zechariah 14:3–5)

Arise, shine; for your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and deep darkness the people; but the Lord will arise over you, and His glory will be seen upon you. The Gentiles [nations] shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising." (Isaiah 60)

In this passage, both darkness and light are intensifying at the same time.

"Darkness shall cover the earth, and deep darkness the people."

We see that happening-an ever greater spiritual darkness coming over the peoples of the earth.

But in the midst of the darkness, "The Lord will arise over you [God's people], and His glory will be seen upon you." The message to God's people is: Respond to what God is doing.

"Arise, shine; for your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you."

From Derek Prince's recently published book, "Prophetic Guide to the End Times."

"For I will take you from among the nations, gather you out of all countries and bring you into your own land. Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols. I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them. Then you shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; you shall be My people, and I will be your God. I will deliver you from all your uncleannesses." (Ez. 36:24-29 NKJV)

How Shall We Respond?

…we have examined carefully a series of prophetic Scriptures that unfold God's predetermined purpose for the Jewish people and for the state of Israel . Out of these Scriptures, four main conclusions have emerged:

First, as this age draws to a close, God purposes to regather His scattered people Israel from all nations of the world and bring them back to their own land; and there to make of them again one united nation.

Second, this geographical and political regathering is a prelude to the spiritual renewal of the Jewish people.

Third, this regathering restoration began about the turn of the twentieth century, and has been proceeding steadily ever since.

Fourth, the welfare of all nations is bound up with the fulfillment of God's plan to restore and renew Israel.

As Christians who accept the Bible's authority, we cannot ignore this clear revelation of God's purpose being worked out in our day. We are confronted, therefore, with a vitally important question: How shall we respond?

Excerpt from Promised Land (formerly, The Last Word on the Middle East), 1992

These four vitally important conclusions are offered to the Church for embrace. God guards His Word with awesome love and faithfulness. Point in fact, by 2006, for the first time since the re-birth of the nation of Israel in 1948, the United States will no longer enjoy the largest Jewish population. Aliyah or immigration figures will at last tip the scales, and a slight majority of the Jewish people will have been ‘regathered' and will reside in Israel!

In this day, we have the unique opportunity to catch a glimpse of and respond to God's plan, unfolding through human history and culminating with the advent of His glorious Kingdom on earth.

DEREK PRINCE ISRAEL is a well-designed strategy to aid the purpose of bringing God's life-transforming message to the people of Israel.
