I believe with perfect faith in the coming of the Messiah; and even if he tarries, still I will wait every day for him to come.

The 2014 Feast of Tabernacles has passed, the rains have begun, and Israel is a wonderful place to be. It is impossible to be here any length of time, before your mind goes to the Scripture when Jesus became Victor for all people, for all time!

“Why do you seek the living among the dead?   He is not here, but is risen! Remember how He spoke to you when He was still in Galilee, 7 saying, ‘The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.’” (Luke 24:5b-6)

The work here is flourishing. The booklet titled “Our Debt to Israel” has been republished in Jerusalem, being made available through SarEL Tours, for all English speakers entering Israel in the next six months.

The World in Turmoil:

The only reliable source of light upon the current situation in the Middle East and the entire world is provided by God’s prophetic word. If we do not seek the light that comes from this source, we will inevitably find ourselves in the dark, subject to many forms of confusion and deception.

The destiny of both Israel and the Church has been determined by God in eternity on the basis of His foreknowledge. Its outworking in time is guaranteed by the irrevocable covenants that God has established with each of them.  For all the good that God has promised to Israel and the Church, both are equally and totally dependent upon God’s grace, which can be appropriated only by faith.

Tremendous tests and pressures lie ahead for both Israel and the Church, but those who faithfully endure will be privileged to share God’s kingdom with Him throughout eternity.  Christians from Gentile backgrounds owe their entire spiritual inheritance to Israel. One appropriate way for them to acknowledge their indebtedness is to stand by Israel in the midst of their present pressures and to uphold them with faithful intercession.

The peoples of the Middle East, the United States of America, and all the Nations of the earth will never know true justice or lasting peace until they are submitted to God’s appointed ruler, the Lord Jesus Christ.  He is the central figure, outshining all the rest and drawing us together around Himself.
Heaven will vindicate the confession that every orthodox Jew has maintained through the long centuries—even on his way to the stake or to the gas chamber:

I believe with perfect faith in the coming of the Messiah; and even if he tarries, still I will wait every day for him to come.

Thus, too, will heaven answer the prayer of the aged apostle John on the Isle of Patmos—the prayer echoed by every true Christian as he closes his New Testament: "Amen. Come, Lord Jesus."

Greetings from Tennessee

As we were driven to Ben Gurion International airport on Saturday evening, July 6, to return home, there were fires burning throughout the Nation..

Four weeks earlier, on June 10th three young Israeli students studying at a yeshiva were found dead,  executed. Israel conducted a massive manhunt in the Palestinian territory, as it was believed they were abducted by two members of Hamas, which turned out to be true. This, among other things sparked the fires being set across Israel.

For 50 days of war, the home front and soldiers on the front lines were battered by thousands of rockets and mortar shells, as armed groups in Gaza fired 4,564 projectiles at Israel.

One week after our arrival at home, Lance Lambert, a longtime friend of Derek Prince began a series of  messages at our Church:

“My subject is a challenge to genuine intercession and is directed to the remnant of the faithful in the Western nations, once called Christian nations. Those nations are witnessing a growing rapid paganization, which will lead to great loss and to demonism.  At the same time, there is a violent assault on the existence and being of the Living God and on the trustworthiness of His Word. The result is a growing apostasy. We desperately need a new breath of God renewing and reviving genuine believers and creating a living and working faith in Him. Nothing less than a spiritual awakening of huge proportion, in which multitudes would come to the Lord and experience His salvation, can change the direction of those nations which were once called the homeland of Christian missions.

The Battle of the Ages has never ceased from the beginning of time as we know it. It is clear to me that the climax of the battle is ahead of us, and we need to know what we face and the safety we have in the Lord Jesus. In Him, we have absolute protection. He is our armor for the conflict, and we need to know how to stand, withstand, and having done all continue to stand in Him and in His power and strength.  If once we learn to abide in the Lord Jesus, to remain where God has placed us, by the Holy Spirit we will overcome.” Lance Lambert

We are called to Pray What is the ultimate goal of our prayers? That the true Church will stand victorious, complete, ready for the return of Jesus. This is God’s directive for us in His Word—and the fulfillment of every longing in our hearts.  When Scripture speaks about a glorious Church, it is a Church that, through faith, has entered into a relationship with God, where His visible, personal, tangible presence is with His people.

The Last Great Task

In Matthew 24:3, the disciples asked Jesus a question: “What shall be the sign of thy coming and of the close of the age?” (rsv). Their question was specific. They did not ask for signs in the plural, but for the sign—the one final, definite indication that the close of the age was at hand.

In verses 5 through 13, Jesus gave them various signs—various events or trends that would characterize the closing period.  However, it was not until verse 14 that He actually answered their specific question: “And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.”

Here is a specific answer to a specific question. When shall the end come? When this Gospel of the kingdom shall have been preached in all the world and to all nations.

”The initiative in world affairs is with God and His people. The climax of the age will not be brought about by the actions of secular government or military power, nor by the floods of satanic deception and lawlessness. The final decisive activity will be the preaching of the Gospel of the kingdom. This is a task that can be accomplished only by the church of Jesus Christ.” -- Derek Prince

Our task is clearly given to us in the Scriptures.  Go to your neighbors…invite them to your home and share your faith – tell them how you met the Lord Jesus as your Savior.   Ask them to come with you to your church.  Offer to pray for them with burdens they carry.  Do everything you can to help them to know the Lord in a more personal way.   Give them a book or a CD that has helped you.  Send them a sermon you have heard on YouTube.  God will bless your efforts!

Jesus loved the Church and gave himself up for her to make her holy,  cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless.  Ephesians 5:25b-27

The Great Commission - Matthew 28:16-20

Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. 17 When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.  Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Thank you so much for your support in so many ways.   Please remember us in your prayers.

God Be With you,

Feast of Tabernacles in Jerusalem

Up to 5,000 Christians from over 100 countries have come up to Jerusalem each year (regardless of the political climate in the Middle East) making the Feast of Tabernacles the largest and most popular annual Christian tourist event in Israel.

Pilgrims come to worship the Lord, pray for the peace of Jerusalem, and to bless Israel.  We believe that celebrating the Feast each year honours the Lord in anticipation of the fulfillment of the words spoken by Zechariah.

The Feast takes place at several outstanding venues across Jerusalem. There are specific seminar tracks available and focused bible teaching throughout the week.  Each evening concludes with a time of dynamic worship and praise lead by an international worship team.

What should be our Response to Israel?

Matthew  25:31-46

31 “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. 32 All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33 He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.

34 “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’

37 “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’

40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42 For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’

44 “They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’

45 “He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’

46 “Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.”

Commentary in NIV Study Bible, 1985 Edition:

25:31-46  The two most widely accepted interpretations of this judgment are:

  1. It will occur at the beginning of an earthly millennial kingdom (vv. 31-34). Its purpose will be to determine who will be allowed to enter the kingdom (v. 34) The criterion for judgment will be the kind of treatment shown to the Jewish people (“these brothers of mine,” v. 40) during the preceding great tribulation period (vv. 35-40, 42-45). Ultimately, how a person treats the Jewish people will reveal whether or not he is saved (vv. 41-46).
  2. The judgment referred to occurs at the great white throne at the end of the age (Rev 20:11-15). Its purpose will be to determine who will be allowed to enter the eternal kingdom of the saved and who will be consigned to eternal punishment in hell (vv. 34, 46). The basis for judgment will be whether love is shown to God’s people (see 1 Jn 3:14-15).

Greetings from Jerusalem

Greetings from Jerusalem

On March 16 and 17, all Israel celebrated Purim. Taken from the book of Esther at the time of the Persian empire, the Jewish people have continued the celebration that was instituted when God led the enemies of His people to their own destruction.

PURIM 2014: The world is increasingly aware that Iran (once Persia) will likely have a nuclear weapon soon. This Muslim extremist country’s most hated and maligned enemy - the tiny nation of Israel - considers a nuclear Iran to be the greatest threat to its existence in the world today.

US Secretary of State John Kerry on Thursday said it was wrong for Israel to insist upon being recognized by the Palestinians as a Jewish state as a condition for peace.  (Jerusalem Post)

Confronted by these powerful common enemies, Christians and Jews are being compelled to reevaluate their attitudes toward one another. Rather than focusing on the points that have kept them apart for so long, they are beginning to emphasize the many elements of their common spiritual heritage.

The person of the Holy Spirit in the Christian Church worldwide has caused Christians from all backgrounds to return to their basic biblical origins. They have thus discovered, often to their surprise, that in Old and New Testament alike, these origins are Jewish.

The state of Israel, on the other hand, confronted with the defection of many of its former political allies, is beginning to realize—with at least equal surprise—that its firmest and most influential friends today are found among Bible-believing Christians worldwide.

We are aware that many of you are giving yourselves, and making great investments of your time and energy, as well as your finances, to fulfill Matthew 24:14. Thank you so much for reaching to your neighbors, your families, as well across the Nations of the World! We thank you too for all the ways you support Derek Prince Israel. May the Lord bless you for all you do!
