Salvation is of the Jews

Dear Friends of Derek Prince Israel:
50 years have passed quickly, and tonight we find ourselves in Jerusalem in the same apartment we secured in June of 2003. One year earlier Derek Prince had established a new Branch of Derek Prince Ministries, naming it Derek Prince Israel. His invitation to us was to become Directors of this new endeavor, for the purpose of being an encouragement to the Jewish people in various ways.
Having learned that without the Jews we would have no patriarchs, no prophets, no apostles, no Bible – and no Savior we were in a position to humbly and in the Fear of the Lord, accept the call. It is important for us as Christians to acknowledge the truth of what Jesus said to the Samaritan woman. “Salvation is of the Jews.”
We have seen many changes in our short time in Israel. There is greater pressure in all the nations of the world today.
We need to bear in mind that one major factor in God’s judgment of all other nations will be their treatment of the Jews. In Matthew 25:31–46 we have a picture of Christ as King at the end of this age on the throne of His glory, with all nations arraigned before Him for judgment. They are separated into two categories—the “sheep,” who are accepted into Christ’s kingdom, and the “goats,” who are rejected from His kingdom. In each case, the reason given by Christ is, “Inasmuch as you did it—or did not do it—to one of the least of these My brethren” (vv. 40, 45). The nations who show mercy to the Jews will receive mercy from God; the nations who deny mercy to the Jews will be denied mercy from God.” -- Derek Prince, Our Debt to Israel

One of the greatest changes we see in Israel is the love for Israel from Christians all over the world, and also the understanding of the Jewish people that Christians are their friends. Over the centuries the Jews have seen little among the Christians that would allow them to trust us. In seeking and praying for the good of Israel, Gentile Christians need to remind ourselves that we are serving not merely the interests of Israel, but even more those of our own nation.

Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,   to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen. (Ephesians 3:20-21)

In the Great Love of God,

Rumors of War

Dear Friends of Derek Prince Israel,

June 4th marks exactly 50 years since we sat together with our South Florida Bible Study Group and heard Derek Prince warn us about the “rumors of war” in the Middle East.

  • The following day, Israel bombs airfields in Egypt, Syria, Jordan, and Iraq, destroying 452 aircraft in three hours. Israeli ground forces also move against Egyptian forces in the Sinai Peninsula at four points.
  • June 6th, Israel notifies Jordan’s King Hussein that it will not attack if his troops keep the peace. In response, Jordan opens fire along the entire armistice line and occupies UN Headquarters in Jerusalem.
  • June 7th, Israel gains possession of the Old City of Jerusalem for the first time since AD 70.
  • June 10th, a reunified Jerusalem was declared the “Eternal Capital of the State of Israel.” All familiar with the innermost convictions of the Jewish people can vouch for the certainty that Israel will never voluntarily yield up control of Jerusalem.

Zechariah 12:2 describes the reaction of all those surrounding Jerusalem.

These are, of course, all the Muslim nations of the Middle East. For them, Jerusalem under Jewish control has become "a cup that sends them reeling."

In verse 3, Zechariah includes “all the nations of the earth.”

At present, the prophesies of Zechariah—and many similar prophecies from various parts of the Bible—fulfill three important functions.

  1. First, they show us very clearly the general direction in which world events are moving.
  2. Second, they enable us to align ourselves with the purposes of God.
  3. Third, they warn us that the climax of the age could well be close at hand.

With this in mind, this June we commemorate God’s victory over Israel’s enemies and the reunification of Jerusalem. We likewise celebrate the opportunity God gave us that night in South Florida—meeting Derek and Lydia Prince and hearing God’s Truth at such a pivotal time. Little did we realize how significantly our relationship with both the Princes and Israel would develop, deepen, and grow.

In October 2002, we had been praying and fasting for three days—focusing on a scripture, Psalm 90:12, which we had placed on our bedroom floor: “Teach us to number our days aright, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.” Our fast was to say to the Lord: “We are willing to go anywhere in the world.”

Our prayers were immediately answered with a telephone call from Jerusalem. Derek Prince was on the line, extending the invitation to a new ministry in Israel—the work in which we have endeavored since that time.

It is a joy and privilege to support God’s plans and purposes for Israel and His Church. Thank you, again, for the many ways you have stood with us,. We pray God will bless you in every way, especially with His presence.

Join us as we celebrate Jerusalem’s special 50th Year Anniversary.

In His Great Love,

George and Betty Jackson, Directors DEREK PRINCE ISRAEL

Feast of Esther

This week marks the Feast of Esther, celebrated by Jews around the world. As recorded in the book of Esther in the Bible, Mordeccai the Jew stood out in his generation because he refused to do what everyone else was doing - bowing down to Haman. As a result, Mordeccai was subjected to great pressure, including a direct threat of the annihilation of his people.

If Mordeccai wouldn't have resisted Haman, and had instead appeased him by bowing down, Haman may have never devised his evil plan to annihilate the Jewish people.

However, Mordeccai chose to honor God, even at the price of tremendous pressure faced by him and his people. Through this pressure, God demonstrated his faithfulness to those who stubbornly walk against the tide of this world.

Do you stand out in your generation? Are there certain things that you stubbornly refuse to do, even when everyone else engages in these things without a second thought? God will surey demonstrate his faithfulness in your life, as he did for Mordeccai and continues to do for the Jewish people.

Spiritual Warfare

Greetings from Tennessee! The Daffodils are blooming! We are enjoying spring like days with warm weather and often soft rains. It is a beautiful season.

The United States is blessed to have completed a Presidential election and Inauguration! To have Christians invited to serve in the Cabinet of President Donald Trump is truly the answer to many people praying together. We have witnessed the miraculous!

“For what great nation is there that has God so near to it, as the Lord our God is to us, for whatever reason we may call upon Him?  Only take heed to yourself, and diligently keep yourself, lest you forget the things your eyes have seen, and lest they depart from your heart all the days of your life. And teach them to your children and your grand-children…’Gather the people to Me, and I will let them hear My words, that they may learn to fear Me all the days they live on the earth, and that they may teach their children.’”

The Words of Moses, Deuteronomy 4: 7-10 (NKJV®)

Heavenly Father, You raise up leaders and establish authority. We pray for our president, that You would give him an authority from You. May he act with Your wisdom and courage. Grant him discernment to know which directions You have ordained. Protect him from every attack of evil. Through his leadership, may Your Kingdom come and Your will be done. Amen.

Allen Jackson, Senior Pastor, World Outreach Church

“Our heavenly government is at war with the kingdom of Satan. Therefore, we are required to take our places as soldiers in this war.  We may be given freedom to choose the field of service, but we cannot opt out of the war.

This truth about spiritual warfare is enforced by the way the Bible speaks about God Himself as a military commander. This language does not occur just once or twice but is found throughout Scripture. For example, Exodus 15:3 records a song that Moses and the children of Israel sang after passing through the waters of the Red Sea. Seeing God’s judgment in the annihilation of the entire Egyptian army, the Israelites give expression to their gratitude and to their sense of triumph and victory in this song: ‘The Lord is a man of war; the Lord is His name.’

“The Bible emphasizes continually that the Lord is a man of war! In agreement with this, we find more than a hundred passages in Scripture where Jehovah is called the ‘Lord of hosts’ or the ‘God of hosts.’ Remember that the word host is the old English term for ‘army.’ He is the God of armies, the ‘Lord of armies.’

Derek Prince – War in Heaven

We understand that God alone is the only hope for our nation. Your prayers are valuable.

We thank God continually for you and for all the ways you support us and for the prayers you pray for the work in Israel.

In His Great Love,

George and Betty Jackson

The Harvest Just Ahead

Greetings from Jerusalem:

We are living in very exciting times. Here in Israel, one feels a greater need to know their Bible than when in our homes in the USA.  Things at home are different in that we are distracted by many things that are of little permanent value.  Israel, on the other hand, is surrounded by enemies, and the world agrees with their enemies.  This causes a greater pressure!

We are expecting at the airport this afternoon one-hundred on tour from our church in Tennessee.  It is a huge blessing to be among the Jewish people and to feel their confidence in the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob—our God!  The only God,  Father of Our Lord Jesus Christ!

In our past newsletters, we have been urging everyone what we felt was so important: Prayer for the Church in America.   First, for forgiveness, and for repentance.   In our church this year, the emphasis has been:  “Let’s Pray.”  The pastor stressed:  Just a sentence prayer in the marketplace, at the office, with our friends and with those we meet whom we do not know.

For several years before Derek Prince was taken to heaven, we would hear him before the lunch meal pray:  “Father, in Heaven, we ask You to send a revival to the English speaking nations of the world.”  Afterward he would say to us:  “I believe we will see one more revival in England and in America, because they were faithful, for years, to send missionaries throughout the world.”

Following is a quote from Derek’s book:   The Harvest Just Ahead
“I absolutely believe that God desires to send to the United States of America the greatest revival in the history of this or any nation. I haven’t come to that belief by accident. For years I’ve prayed over it, meditated on it, fasted and sought God concerning it. I am convinced that I speak the truth from Almighty God. I’m not normally a particularly bold or self-assertive type of person, but I have a deep, inner conviction that I am speaking to you a message from God.
“I will not compromise about divine truth, because I will have to answer to God one day for what I say. There are many places in the Bible where God tells men and women to choose. In Deuteronomy 30:19, Moses said:
“‘I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live.’”

Following is a very encouraging report, coming from Malcolm Hedding, retired Executive Director of the International Christian Embassy,  Jerusalem.  Malcolm’s letter explains itself.  We wanted you to have this great report, trusting that you will be encouraged to seek God for yourself, your family, and our nation.

“Dearest George and Betty,
“Greetings!  I was of course in the United Kingdom when the "Brexit" referendum went down and it was a shock for the media pundits and press to find out that they got it all wrong because they were too busy pushing their left wing agenda instead of listening to the people. I can tell you that the Church everywhere in the UK was repenting, praying, and fasting that God would have mercy on the nation and take it out of the European Union. I attended some of these meetings and there was a strong anointing upon them. It was as if we knew that it was going to happen and that Jesus was giving Britain another opportunity to repent and follow Him, and so it did! On the night of the referendum, I was speaking in the Northern Ireland Parliament, which was a huge privilege and honor and naturally I could not avoid the big issue of the day. The meeting was packed; it began at 8pm, finished at 10pm, and was followed by a dinner in one of the great halls that concluded at 11:30 pm. Jesus has taken me to some amazing places!
“The Magna Carta (Great Charter) of the 13th century, which has undergirded British sovereignty for hundreds of years and which had great Christian underpinnings was brought back into the churches and has played a role in saving Britain from "The Beast." We will see how all this plays out, but for sure, God is giving Britain time to repent and follow Him. I pray that they will take it! You need to know that 69% of British sovereignty has been conceded to the European Union over the years, meaning that the nation has, up until now, been effectively governed by foreigners sitting in Brussels!
“This of course has great significance for the USA as it, too, has a wonderful founding document called The Constitution that guarantees the freedoms of the people and which is heavily influenced by Christian thought and teaching. It is worth fighting for since it merely reflects the truth that it itself sets forth. Namely, that our freedoms come from the God of the Bible and not from man. These freedoms are being eroded by politicians. It's time to fast, pray, and repent in America and the good news is that people are getting it. Blessed be Jesus!     --Malcolm”

A Piece of News from the USA:   Donald Trump, according to a new report, has accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior.  Dr. James Dobson, who was among the more than 900 evangelical faith leaders who met with the Republican presidential nominee-in-waiting in New York City, says it happened fairly recently. He also said he knew who led the businessman to Christ.

Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion, which cannot be moved but endures forever. 2 As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lord surrounds his people from this time forth forever.
Psalm 125:1,2  (NKJV)

Thank you for all the ways that you support us.
