Happy Chanuka and Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas from Tennessee!

What a glorious year it is! For several years we did not feel the liberty to use the greeting, "Merry Christmas". This year, we are thrilled to hear it spoken so often. What a wonderful freedom we have. May the spirit of Christmas cover America, and the nations of the world.

In thinking of Israel, the USA and the world, this passage comes to mind: Jesus spoke in John 4:35, saying: "Do you not say 'There are yet four more months, then comes harvest?' Behold I say to you, lift up your eyes and look on the fields that they are white for harvest."

In Matthew 9:36-38, Jesus describes our world today:

Seeing the people, He (Jesus) felt compassion for them because they were distressed and dispirited like sheep without a shepherd. Jesus went on to say, "The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Therefore beseech the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest."

The multitudes had rabbis and synagogues, but they did not have shepherds. Jesus saw people differently from his disciples. Because of that unique perspective, he spoke the words of Matthew 9:36. If that statement was true then, how much more is it true today?

Going after the harvest requires a push from the Holy Spirit. What better time is there to ask the Holy Spirit for help than at the Christmas season? We as Christians believe in the Judgement of God. Our belief affects the way we relate to people, and it adds a sense of urgency to our lives. The Christmas season sets the stage for us to be more conscious of those around us, to feel the compassion that Jesus felt. When we come together with friends, famiy, neighbors, those we meet in the market place, and in church, may God help us to be aware of their spiritual needs.

The White Horse of the Gospel

In Revelation 6:1-8 there is a vivid picture from the close of the age. It represents the urgency of the time in which we live. In the writings of Derek Prince we find:

Personally, I see the first horse as the white horse of the gospel, going out ‘conquering and to conquer.’ This white horse conquers with tremendous power, but it is not conquering by military means or carnal weapons.
As I read this description of the horses in Revelation 6, I think of Psalm 45:
My heart is overflowing with a good theme; I recite my composition concerning the King; My tongue is the pen of a ready writer. You are fairer than the sons of men; Grace is poured upon Your lips; Therefore God has blessed You forever. [Next follows what I believe to be a description of Jesus, riding forth on the white horse.] Gird Your sword upon Your thigh, O Mighty One, With Your glory and Your majesty. And in Your majesty ride prosperously because of truth, humility, and righteousness; [This is not a military conqueror. This is one who conquers by the power Horse of the Gospel.

Mercy, Then Judgment

“The first horse to go out is the white horse of the gospel, ‘conquering and to conquer.’ This is the harvest of grace and mercy. I believe this represents a period when the gospel is conquering with mighty power in nation after nation—and I believe the full conquest of the gospel is still ahead.” Derek Prince

Many people today are asking the question: “Will there be another harvest of souls before Jesus returns?” We believe there will be a worldwide harvest, an outpouring of the Holy Spirit. It will be swift and powerful. It is believed that in those few years, more people will be saved than have been saved in all the centuries since Jesus died and rose from the dead.

The Heavenly Warrior Defeats the Beast

I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice he judges and wages war. His eyes are like blazing fire, and on his head are many crowns. He has a name written on him that no one knows but he himself. He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God. The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean. Coming out of his mouth is a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations. “He will rule them with an iron scepter.” He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty. On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS. (Revelation 19:11-16, NKJ ®)

We pray you have a wonderful Christmas Season, asking God to bless you and your families! May God especially bless and protect the Church and the Jewish people around the world.

In His Great Love,

George and Betty Jackson Directors
